Rituparna's Karmic Konnection with SRK
Rituparna Sengupta and Shah Rukh Khan may not be crossing their paths as far as films are concerned, but they sure are linked in away. Tut tut! Don't get any ideas, now. Here's what we mean...
The Bengali beauty is doing a film called SRK with Vinay Pathak. It's a Wraner Brothers film in which Rituparna plays the lead role. Anyway, the only thing anyone knows is the name of the film since what the film is all about is a guarded secret that even Warner Brothers have not yet revealed much about the film. This is not where Rituparna's connection with SRK ends. She was recently invited for the IPL Match, by the King Khan himself (he owned the Kolkata Knights Riders, remember?) and they both spent a very good time together during the match. Then after the match SRK went to a thalassemia organization to spend time with thalassemic kids on Rituaparn's request and invitation.
Back to films now, apart from SRK Rituparna is also doing a film called Dard E Disco, being directed by Ashok Tyagi. The name should remind you of the song from SRK's Om Shanti Om! Of course, once in the past Rituparna revealed a wish to work with SRK. But looks like for the time being she will have to be happy with the names only. But then maybe she will do a film with him someday

Delhi terror attacks make A Wednesady even more topical

There has been a slew of films based on the subject of terrorism which have released in the recent past. Aamir, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Contract, Hijack, Khuda Kay Liye and even Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam - each of them have seen terrorism being a common thread. However, the film which has made the maximum impact and turned out to be the most sensitive of the lot has been A Wednesday. Now with the weekend witnessing serial blasts in Delhi, A Wednesday has turned out to be even more topical.
A Wednesday isn't about blasts per se but reflects the anguish of the common man who fears walking on the street due to terror situation around him. Naseeruddin Shah, who represents the common man, raises this very point as he comes up with a loud cry around this issue. He talks about how terrorists have been in a dominating position over the years and have openly challenged Government to stop them if they dared.
