Madhur Bandarkar in Interview

Whether there is a film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar getting ready for release or not, the high profile film maker has always stayed in news. Ever since the day his CHANDNI BAR came many moons back and became an overnight success, the man has hardly been missed from television, print media or radio stations. Also, there are no two opinions about the fact that he is never short on quotes! Guess where does he get this talkative streak from? Well, legend has it that he caught this trait when he was barely 3 years old! Laughs Madhur while confirming this bit of information, "You have heard it right! I have been like this ever since I was a 3 year old boy. The story goes all the way back to my initial childhood days when I didn't use to speak at all. My parents were all worried because children of my age (when I was around 2 years old) had started interacting with their parents but I could barely utter a word." So how did the transformation happen? "Well, as the elders always say, some children start talking very late and when they do, it is difficult to make them go quiet. The same happened with me too. Once I turned 3 and people around me lost all hopes that I would ever talk, there was a miracle of sorts. I not just learnt words; I started communicating with just about anyone big time. That was the day and you can see that I am still talking even as a few decades have gone since then", he jokes. Ok, so now we get to know why Madhur is so vocal! Nevertheless, while speaking to him, it is difficult not to talk to him on what he is doing currently? Even as all the mid-year reports of Bollywood have finally acknowledged his TRAFFIC SIGNAL to be a success (a relief since good part of trade failed to do that when the film released earlier this year), there is no information on what next the National Award winning director is up to? "Just be a little more patient", he comforts me, "I am in the middle of something interesting and it should be in quick time. I am bracing myself to be ready with a script that I am currently trying to give finishing touches to. I am sitting with my team of writers on a very regular basis and trying to create something that would be exciting for everyone involved. Just stay tuned!" Madhur has been in news for last few days due to his denial of Priyanka and Kangana in his upcoming film FASHION. While the trade has been abuzz about the presence of these ladies in his UTV produced film, Madhur has been taking a step by step approach. He insists that he would first want to close on the scripting of the film before confirming on the presence of any actors in the film. He has also denied rumors about the mega budget of the film and is rather concentrating at first figuring out overall logistics of the film.
